The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a(n) Inpatient Facilities Collections Specialist you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Manage collections activities for an assigned portfolio, conducting account research, reconciliation, and dispute resolution to ensure timely payment.
- Contact customers regarding delinquent balances, negotiate payment arrangements, and maintain compliance with agreed payment terms.
- Monitor account aging, prioritize high-risk delinquent accounts, and apply effective collection strategies to reduce outstanding receivables.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment issues, manage credit limits, and authorize credit holds or releases when appropriate.
- Identify potential bad debt exposure, recommend escalation actions including agency placement or legal review, and serve as a liaison between Credit, Billing, Accounts Receivable, and business teams.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business or related field and 2 years of experience handling high balance and complex A/R accounts.
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Advanced English (oral and written) B2+.
- 6 months of customer care experience.
- Experience managing a portfolio of 100+ accounts, consistently meeting monthly collection targets.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel & Outlook.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Healthcare background is a plus.
- Medium/Advanced knowledge of accounting platforms is highly preferred.
- Skills include critical thinking, empathy, active listening, emotional intelligence, strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, excellent organizational and communication skills, adaptability, accountability, teamwork, initiative, decision-making, time management, multitasking, attention to detail, ability to work independently, customer relationship management with diverse audiences, conflict resolution, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
