As a Cleaner, you will play an important role in creating a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents. Your Opportunity
This is a casual opportunity based in Woonona, with strong potential for ongoing shifts due to increased annual leave coverage requirements. Laundry Assistants looking to expand their skills are also encouraged to apply.
As a Cleaner within our Residential Care community, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning services that help maintain a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Working closely with residents, care teams and maintenance staff, you will ensure all cleaning tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while contributing to a positive resident experience.
With professionalism, care and attention to detail, you will:
Cleaning & Service Delivery
Complete daily cleaning duties across resident rooms, common areas and facilities
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection prevention
Clean bathrooms, laundries, kitchenettes, corridors and shared living spaces
Vacuum, mop, dust and maintain furniture, fixtures and fittings
Ensure cleaning schedules are completed efficiently and consistently
Monitor cleaning supplies and report stock requirements when needed
Resident Support & Customer Service
Contribute to residents' wellbeing through positive and caring interactions
Support a welcoming and comfortable environment for all residents
Administration & Compliance
Maintain accurate cleaning records where required
Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained, used safely and stored correctly
Follow organisational policies and cleaning procedures
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workplace
Safety & Workplace Culture
Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment
Follow workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices
Report hazards, incidents and risks in accordance with organisational procedures
What You'll Bring
You are reliable, practical and take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
What's Required
Minimum 2 years of previous cleaning experience or laundry experience
1-2 years in following safe work practices
NDIS Worker screening check (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
What's Preferred
1- 2 years of experience working in aged care, healthcare, hospitality or similar environments
Certificate III in Hospitality or willingness to work towards it
Understanding of infection control and cleaning standards
