We are looking to fill several Production Specialists roles. We have several roles and will train the right candidates to be members of our Wader Maker Team. We're looking for someone with an eye for detail, focus on excellence and a positive team member are the characteristics.
The mission of the Wader Production Team is to produce high quality waders in an efficient manner. Roles may train in the production processes in the Pressing, Sewing, Taping, Attachment, Testing and Packaging area.
This position reports to the Production Supervisor, Simms and is based out of our Bozeman Innovation office.
As a Production Specialist you will have an opportunity to:
Learn how to use a variety of machines in our production process. Ex. sewing machines, seam sealing machines, Attachment machines and presses.
Clean and maintain production machines.
Follow all safety standards.
Communicate effectively and professionally with the team members, team leads, and supervisors.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
While the daily operations fluctuate based on business need, employees within the production specialist role are expected to be able to perform or learn the skills below:
Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble wader components.
Apply seam sealing techniques to ensure waterproof integrity.
Cut and prepare fabric panels according to production patterns and specifications.
Assemble parts of waders using hot and cold presses.
Perform leak tests using pressure methods.
Document and report any defects or failures in waterproofing.
Assemble components with attention to ergonomic design and comfort.
Integrate adjustable features such as straps, buckles, and booties.
Install zippers, pockets, gravel guards, and other accessories.
Ensure all attachments are secure and meet durability standards.
Inspect finished products for defects, sizing accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
Package finished goods with appropriate labeling and documentation.
Maintain consistent attention to detail for multiple hours at a time.
Follow a Kanban process to ensure efficient and scheduled workflow.
Physical Requirement:
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Manual dexterity and strength to handle heavy fabrics and equipment.
Comfortable working in a production environment with varying temperatures.
Lift up to 20 lbs.
Pay Range:
Hourly Rate: $17.80 - $22.00The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
