Role Overview
Senior Construction Engineer (Electrical)
What You Will Do
- Review electrical designs for logistics centers, including appropriate specifications, electrical system capacity, and code compliance.
- Conduct site inspections and verification, including the review of major electrical equipment specifications (e.g., switchgear and distribution panels), inspection of electrical installations, and preparation of punch lists.
- Manage electrical-related issues, including developing improvement plans for power capacity shortages and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Establish electrical specification standards for prospective logistics warehouse lease properties.
- Manage electrical engineering aspects of new logistics warehouse development projects.
- Provide engineering support for operational issues related to the maintenance and upkeep of logistics warehouses.
- Perform electrical and fire alarm/electrical fire protection-related due diligence (physical inspections).
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a related field (construction, design, construction management (CM), etc.).
- Knowledge of electrical systems and facilities in commercial or industrial buildings.
- Ability to manage and supervise specialized electrical contractors and vendors.
- Strong understanding of construction management processes and practices.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
