Description
Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed
Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Call: No call
- Prepare the MRI room, equipment, coils, and patients for examinations.
- Screen patients for metallic implants, devices, and other MRI safety contraindications.
- Obtain patient history and explain MRI procedures.
- Select appropriate MRI protocols, pulse sequences, and coils.
- Safely position and transport patients for examinations.
- Administer IV or oral contrast as required.
- Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols.
- Adjust imaging parameters, slice thickness, and orientation when clinically appropriate.
- Review images for quality, proper orientation, and completeness.
- Label and transmit completed studies to PACS.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide relevant information for radiologist review.
- ARRT (MR) certification – Required.
- AHA BLS certification – Required.
- Previous clinical experience as an MRI Technologist – Required.
- Demonstrated experience operating Siemens MRI scanners – Required.
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety procedures and patient screening.
- Ability to work the assigned evening schedule and one weekend per month.
