Your role and responsibilities
In this role, we are looking for software professionals to join our Industrial Automation Digital Organization. The role requires being part of a team with experience in a DevOps environment, focused on software lifecycle automation, build and release management, and CI/CD. You will primarily focus on engineering modern and agile environments using various DevOps and automation tools to support Application Lifecycle Management, while contributing to the development of enterprise platforms and solutions on on-premise and cloud platforms such as Azure.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Establish and maintain suitable DevOps channels, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous build environments across platforms to accelerate software development and deployment processes.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks (PyTest, Unittest), covering UI automation (Selenium, Playwright), API testing, regression, smoke testing, and database validation using Python.
- Collaborate with the ABB project team in requirement gatherings, design discussions, documentation, and reviews, reporting daily activities, expected deliverables, and progress to the technical lead or manager.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and generative AI platforms to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and intelligent automation workflows.
Qualifications for the role
- Strong Python programming skills including Flask, metadata management, PL/SQL scripting, database packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and materialized views, with solid experience in data-driven and keyword-driven testing frameworks (PyTest, Unittest).
- Proven experience in Web UI automation (Selenium, Playwright), API test automation, test case design and execution, automated regression and smoke testing, and test reporting and logging.
- Solid experience with database systems (SQL/NoSQL) including MS SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and Realtime DB, with capabilities in DB processing (partitioning, indexes), database validation, SQL testing, data quality tests, and basic UNIX scripting.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD integration (Jenkins, Azure DevOps), source control management (Git), and establishing DevOps channels and continuous build environments across platforms.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, cloud platform concepts, and application containerization tools (Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes), along with familiarity with dashboards, language, database, and test technologies.
- AI/ML integration experience, including working with GitHub Copilot, AI-powered code generation, automated testing, log analysis, and observability platforms to enhance development productivity and software quality.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English, with good customer-facing and coordination abilities, adherence to software development methodologies, and a proven track record of delivering solutions in complex customer system landscapes within predictable timelines and quality standards.
