Fabrication Planner (Avery Creek) - WKND

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Fabrication Planner (Avery Creek) - WKND. This position is based at our Arden, NC location.

The hourly rate for this position is $23 per hour.

## What you’ll do:

Job Summary:

The production planner is responsible for planning AVC schedule and controlling Kanban requirements to ensure the efficient operation of fabrication and product line.

Job Responsibility:

• Review & manage AVC schedules requirements to support AVC production.
• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with supervisors, team leads, and warehouse.
• Support scheduling to ensure all expedites and parts align with production requirements.
• Review Warehouse and material requirements reports and clearly & concisely report out known material issues to key stake holders.
• Process surplus and/or non-conforming material according to procedures and interact with necessary cross-functional team players to achieve success.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineers and plant personnel to identify/review stocking plans.
• As necessary, work with Expeditor, to ensure material is available to meet production requirements while minimizing premium freight.
• Work with Supply Chain Team for broader SC projects/tasks as necessary.
• Observe all safety regulations as specified or directed.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe workplace.

## Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution
• Minimum 1 year Supply Chain, Fabrication, or Planning experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-year Associates Degree
• Previous Supply Chain and/or Planning Experience
• Previous Fabrication Experience
• Understanding of Kanban and other internal stock control methods
• Experience with reading and looking up Bill of Materials (BOM’s)
• Experience with DMM, AS400, MAPICS, Vista, and Enovia

• Ability to work with internal customers, supervisors, and planners and changing schedules
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams across plant and corporate entities
• Must be self-motivated and results oriented
• Required to work flexible hours – overtime including weekends as necessary
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Computer experience – Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position – able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
