What you'll do...
Role summary:We are seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead high-priority initiatives across Search and Walmart Commerce Platform (WCP) Market Onboarding for international markets, including Mexico, Canada, Chile, and Central America. This high-impact role drives cross-functional programs at the intersection of search technology, platform scalability, and market expansion. The ideal candidate will own end-to-end program execution, manage complex dependencies, mitigate risks, and align stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams. Success in this role requires strong technical acumen, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that accelerate growth and enhance customer experiences.

Walmart International Tech builds eCommerce platforms serving millions worldwide. The Technical Program Management team plays a key role in delivering impactful solutions that enhance customer experience and support business growth. Operating from Sunnyvale and the India Development Center, the team applies disciplined program management to coordinate complex initiatives. Collaborating closely with engineering and product teams, they ensure seamless execution, drive process improvements, and manage cross-functional dependencies. The team emphasizes clear communication, strategic planning, and continuous innovation to deliver scalable, high-quality technology solutions aligned with Walmart’s global goals.
What you'll do:
- Lead and drive strategic programs across Search and Walmart Commerce Platform (WCP) Market Onboarding for international markets.
- Own end-to-end program execution, from planning and prioritization through delivery and operational readiness.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Business teams to align goals, requirements, and roadmaps.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, issues, and escalations to ensure predictable delivery.
- Drive technical initiatives that improve search relevance, platform scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Establish program governance, track key metrics, and provide clear communication to stakeholders and leadership.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize execution, accelerate market expansion, and enhance customer experiences.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of Technical Program Management experience leading software delivery programs with significant business impact.
- Expertise in program management, Agile methodologies, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional execution.
- Strong technical foundation in SDLC, system architecture, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and scalable platform design.
- Experience leading Search, Personalization, Recommendation Systems, and AI/ML initiatives, including relevance, ranking, experimentation, and user analytics.
- Proven ability to partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Operations teams to deliver technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Proficiency with Jira, Jira Align, BigPicture, and related program management tools.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
