## Director of High-Volume Manufacturing Production

The position of HVM Production Director at Micron offers an exceptional chance to lead a top-tier manufacturing organization! You will foster innovation and quality in a dynamic environment that values collaboration, diversity, and ongoing improvement.

## Responsibilities and Tasks

Strategic Leadership & Site Operations

  • Work alongside the Site Leadership Team to develop and fulfill business strategies that advance corporate objectives and reinforce Micron's culture, values, and employee engagement.
  • Drive site-wide operational excellence by aligning production priorities with long-term manufacturing and business goals.
  • Serve as the primary leader of HVM production activities, ensuring seamless functioning across manufacturing, engineering, planning, and support organizations.
  • Lead the organization to achieve world-class performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

## Manufacturing Execution Excellence

  • Lead a large-scale production organization operating in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure manufacturing commitments are consistently met through focused implementation, operational rigor, and effective resource management.
  • Establish performance goals, operational metrics, and management systems that drive benchmark manufacturing performance.
  • Lead ongoing improvement efforts to enhance productivity, cycle time, operational efficiency, and manufacturing effectiveness.
  • Drive rapid issue resolution and cross-functional collaboration to minimize operational disruptions and improve production output.

## Capacity Planning & Business Delivery

  • Partner with Central Planning, Division Planning, and Site Leadership to develop capacity plans, output strategies, and long-term manufacturing roadmaps.
  • Ensure coordination of labor, equipment, materials, infrastructure, and operational capabilities to support business growth.
  • Determine and deliver production output commitments while balancing quality, cost, and operational efficiency.
  • Direct implementation approaches that support ramp plans, technology transitions, and future factory growth initiatives.

## Organization Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and sustain a high-performing, inclusive, and accountable manufacturing organization.
  • Develop frontline leaders, managers, and future successors through coaching, mentoring, and career development planning.
  • Strengthen succession pipelines and organizational capability to support long-term business needs.
  • Cultivate an environment of responsibility, cooperation, ongoing development, and staff involvement.
  • Ensure team members complete required learning and capability development activities within established timelines.

## AI & Manufacturing Transformation

  • Drive AI-supported manufacturing and digital change efforts to boost operational output and the quality of decisions.
  • Drive adoption of advanced analytics, automation, predictive technologies, and intelligent manufacturing solutions.
  • Foster innovation and continuous learning by integrating practical AI applications into manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure responsible, ethical, and compliant use of AI technologies in alignment with company policies and standards.

## Financial & Operational Stewardship

  • Support annual business planning, budget development, capital investments, and resource prioritization.
  • Drive productivity improvements and cost optimization initiatives while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Ensure manufacturing operations contribute to overall site profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Monitor key business indicators and implement actions necessary to achieve financial and operational targets.

## Global & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, IE, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, Planning, and other OMT organizations to achieve business objectives.
  • Participate in global manufacturing forums, workshops, and best-practice sharing across Micron sites.
  • Leverage worldwide standards, systems, and manufacturing methodologies to accelerate performance improvements and consistency.

## Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality Leadership

  • Ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) excellence remains the top organizational priority.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and drive compliance with all applicable regulatory and company requirements.
  • Ensure operational processes are effective, sustainable, and capable of meeting intended business outcomes.
  • Encourage customer-focused deployment and continuous quality improvement throughout the organization.

## Quality Management System (QMS) Accountability

For any business process and/or QMS component within their responsibility, the HVM Production Director is accountable for:

  • Ensuring that the QMS and business processes continue to be effective and correspond with applicable requirements.
  • Ensuring operational processes consistently deliver intended results.
  • Reporting performance, risks, and improvement opportunities to management.
  • Promoting focus on both internal and external customers throughout the organization.
  • Maintaining the integrity of QMS and business processes during organizational and operational changes.
  • Consistently meeting customer requirements and expectations.

## Preferred Leadership Profile

  • Proven leader with extensive semiconductor manufacturing and operations experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale production organizations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, business insight, and operational execution capabilities.
  • Track record of driving sustainable productivity, operational transformation, and organizational growth.
  • Experience managing complex organizations through scaling, technology updates, and employee development.
  • Strong coaching, talent development, and succession planning capabilities.
  • Passion for innovation, AI adoption, and manufacturing digital transformation.

## Travel Requirement

  • Domestic and international travel may be required to assist business objectives, foster global collaboration, and contribute to operational excellence.
