## The group you’ll be a part of
You will be part of the Supplier Engineering & Technology (SET) Organization within Lam Research, supporting RF products and critical suppliers across the semiconductor equipment supply chain. The team acts as the technical bridge between Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Quality, Field Organizations, and Suppliers to ensure product reliability, supplier quality, successful new product introductions, and rapid resolution of customer escalations
## The impact you’ll make
As a RF Engineer at Lam, you play a crucial role in designing, building, and troubleshooting cutting-edge radio frequency (RF) solutions for power delivery and plasma generation in our Etch and Deposition products. You specialize in utilizing RF as a power source and creating innovative generator designs. Your work paves the way for new power sources to be used Lam's wafer fabrication equipment.
## What you’ll do
This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting to RF Manager in India and with Global Supplier Quality team. This individual would be responsible to manage RF Power commodity supplier engineering tasks by working closely with suppliers and supplier engineering team in US and Asia region. Individual’s primary job responsibilities are listed below:
- Managing assigned suppliers in RF Power commodity to ensure expectations are met in terms of quality.
- Lead complex technical investigations involving RF generators, matching networks, power delivery systems, PCBAs, and associated assemblies.
- Lead supplier root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA, DOE, and SPC
- Perform technical analysis of RF failures occurring in manufacturing, qualification, and customer environments
- Conducting onsite/virtual POR (process of records) audits at supplier to review their manufacturing process & engage with suppliers to identify process improvements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Field, Reliability, Supply Chain, and Global SET teams. Influence decision making through data-driven analysis and effective communication
- Support NPI, qualification, change management, and supplier transfers
- Support Design Reviews (DR), Product Reviews (PR), and customer-facing technical discussions
- Perform Program/Project and Supplier Management roles with emphasis on problem-solving analysis and improvements in manufacturing and test processes.

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in electrical & Electronics, Electronics and Communication engineering
## Who we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience/Master’s with minimum 6 years of relevant experience
- 8+ years of experience in Semiconductor equipment system or equivalent and component level problem-solving including analog and digital circuits, computer control networks and interactions of hardware and software.
- Work experience in Multi-kilowatt High Power RF Environments from 100kHz to 100MHz.
- Strong understanding of RF Power Systems (RF Generators, Match Networks, RF Delivery Path)
- Understanding of Transmission Line theory, Impedance matching, RF measurements & calibration techniques.
- Strong background in Analog and Digital Electronics and PCBAs
- Electrical measurement equipment familiarity, including: DMM, LCR, Milli-ohm Meters, Network Analyzers, Hi-Pot/Ground Bond Testers, Function Generators, Oscilloscopes, TDR Meters, Spectrum Analyzers.
- Working knowledge of Statical Process Control, DOE, MSA, 5 Why, T/F tests, box plots, 8D, Ishikawa diagrams.
- Working knowledge of electrical & mfg standards (Semi S2, OSHA, ISO9000/14000, RoHS, UL, IEEE, MIL, IPC 610/620).
- Strong business communication and presentation skills
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical assembly, methods of part fabrication, assembly, test and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and IPC standards
- Experience in handling suppliers from remote location and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and their products.
- Data analytics using Excel, Power BI, Minitab, JMP, or similar tools
- Critical and creative thinking, qualitative and quantitative analysis methods.
