Description
SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the HR & Talent Acquisition Coordinator supports the execution of PTI's talent acquisition and human resources operations by coordinating recruitment activities, onboarding, HR systems, reporting, and employee support. This role partners with hiring managers to attract and hire qualified talent, ensures a positive candidate experience, maintains accurate HR records and data, and provides administrative support across multiple human resources functions while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and deliver a high level of customer service.
- Source candidates through online platforms/applicant tracking system (ATS), social networks, and professional channels.
- Review and process employment applications.
- Coordinate the full interview and selection process, including screening calls, assessments, scheduling, and collecting feedback from hiring teams.
- Assists with pre-employment activities.
- Foster ongoing relationships with past applicants and potential candidates, including proactive outreach to passive talent.
- Ensure an efficient, positive, and professional candidate experience from application to offer, onboarding, and beyond.
- Compiles and analyzes data from personnel records to prepare reports (e.g., EEO, headcount, turnover, KPI's and other HR metrics).
- Performs HRIS data entry, maintenance, and basic system administration tasks.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the organization's core values.
- Perform additional duties and support HR initiatives as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR HR COORDINATOR
- Guide hiring managers and interview teams on best practices, including interview techniques, candidate evaluation, and communication aligned with PTI's values.
- Implement sourcing and hiring strategies that attract top talent and align with organizational priorities.
- Support the development of job descriptions and interview questions aligned with departmental hiring needs.
- Assist with headcount forecasting, workload analysis, and departmental labor distribution reporting.
- Identify hiring trends, process improvements, and opportunities to enhance recruitment strategies and talent selection.
- Coordinate employee engagement programs, communication initiatives, and activities that strengthen company culture and employee connection.
- Assists with onboarding activities, including new hire orientation and required documentation.

REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0–2 years of experience in human resources, administrative support, or related field.
- Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English, including analyzing and interpreting business publications, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as percentages, discounts, and other HR-related computations accurately.
- Basic knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience working with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG or similar).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
PREFERRED
- Internship or prior experience in a Human Resources department.
- Experience supporting recruitment or onboarding processes.
- Familiarity with EEO reporting and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Exposure to payroll, benefits administration, or employee relations support.

- Ability to perform essential human resource generalist tasks, including primarily sitting (often >75% of the day), with occasional standing, walking (around office, to printer, etc.) and sometimes climbing stairs.

- Vision, hearing, and manual dexterity sufficient to perform necessary tasks such as using a mouse, handling document, operation phones and other office machinery.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry 10-25 pounds (files, boxes, equipment, etc).
