Odoo Technical Consultant

About the Role

Supply Chain Talks is looking for an Odoo Technical Consultant to support the development, customization, integration, and maintenance of Odoo solutions for internal operations and client projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Odoo modules based on business requirements.
• Configure and enhance Odoo applications such as CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, HR, Marketing Automation, e-Learning, and Website.
• Build workflows, reports, dashboards, automated actions, and approval processes.
• Integrate Odoo with third-party platforms using APIs and web services.
• Support data migration, validation, and bulk uploads.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues and application errors.
• Manage module installation, testing, deployment, and upgrades.
• Prepare technical documentation and support user acceptance testing.
• Coordinate with business users, functional consultants, and project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on Odoo development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with Odoo ORM, QWeb, models, views, controllers, and security.
• Experience developing custom modules and third-party integrations.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC, Git, and Linux environments.
• Experience with debugging, data migration, testing, and deployment.
• Good English communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of procurement, inventory, warehousing, sales, and supply chain processes.
• Experience with Odoo Enterprise, Odoo Community, or Odoo.sh.
• Exposure to cloud hosting, Docker, or CI/CD.
• Experience integrating payment gateways, WhatsApp, Microsoft 365, or other business applications.
• Experience supporting clients in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.

Remote-Working Requirements

• Must be based in Pakistan.
• Reliable internet connection and suitable backup arrangements.
• Ability to coordinate with teams operating across Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and GCC time zones.
• Availability to support critical deployments and go-live activities when required.
