Sr. Associate Supply Chain (Transportation) Bogotá

 

What you will do

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support the creation, revision, assessment, approval, and maintenance of transportation lanes and routes.
• Coordinate transportation requirements with shipping sites, receiving locations, Transportation Service Providers (TSPs), Quality, and other business partners.
• Evaluate transportation requirements including origin, destination, transportation mode, transit duration, temperature requirements, routing, and shipping solutions.
• Support the selection and implementation of appropriate Controlled Temperature Shipping Systems (CTSS) and transportation risk mitigations.
• Ensure applicable transportation controls and mitigations are appropriately incorporated into transportation lanes and routes.
• Support Site Capability Assessments and implementation activities associated with new transportation solutions, as applicable.
• Support new product introductions, new markets, new shipping/receiving locations, route changes, and other supply chain projects requiring transportation solutions.
• Review transportation documentation and data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
• Support investigations associated with transportation events, including temperature excursions, shipment delays, transportation deviations, and other logistics-related events.
• Creation of Distribution Complaints associated with transportation events, including temperature excursions, shipment delays, transportation deviations, and other logistics-related events.
• Collaborate with TSPs and internal stakeholders to obtain shipment information and support resolution of transportation issues.
• Support transportation operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support audit and inspection readiness activities related to transportation processes and documentation.
• Monitor assigned activities and priorities to ensure transportation deliverables are completed within required timelines.
• Develop basic operational metrics and reports using Excel or other available tool to support workload management and operational performance
• Escalate transportation risks or potential supply impacts to appropriate stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field and 6 months of experience in Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Distribution, Manufacturing, or a related operational area within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or another highly regulated healthcare industry.

• Advanced English is a mandatory requirement for this position and will be assessed throughout the interview process.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to analyze information, identify risks, and make recommendations based on established procedures and business requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographical locations.
• Ability to prioritize activities to meet business expectations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and SAP.
• Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Experience with temperature-controlled or cold-chain transportation.
• Experience working with logistics providers, freight forwarders, carriers, or other Transportation Service Providers.
