BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as Warehouse Assistant at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.
Key Accountabilities:
- Record the entry and exit of materials in the computer system
- Dispatch materials to various suppliers (internal and external)
- Handle chemical products in compliance with safety regulations
- Identify and separate waste according to its classification
- Move waste to the designated disposal area
- Handle loads using mechanical equipment
- Comply with the organization’s internal rules and regulations, including the Code of Ethics and working hours
- Respect and comply with workplace safety and cleanliness rules
- Respect and comply with environmental policy rules
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the environmental management system
- Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which the employee was hired, whenever service needs or operational convenience justify it, for the period necessary to meet those needs or conveniences.
- Perform cycle counting procedures
Education & Experience:
- Secondary school completed
- Relevant experience in the area will be valued
- Basic computer skills from a user perspective (preferred)
- Training or experience in forklift operation (preferred)
- Training or experience in waste separation
- Conflict management
- Decision-making quality
- Results-oriented mindset
- Interpersonal communication
- Technical/functional skills
