Description

Help us change what people believe life in senior living can be.

At Avanti, we believe life should continue to hold purpose, curiosity, connection, growth and fun at every age. That’s why we created Life Design - Avanti’s signature approach to purposeful resident engagement. We’re looking for someone exceptional to own it, deliver it, and bring it to life.

This is not an Activities Job. We’re looking for a creator, connector and catalyst who believes our residents deserve more than just a busy calendar. You’ll master and deliver Avanti’s signature Life Design program with energy, consistency and excellence, then bring your own creativity to the experience.

Your job isn’t to keep people busy. It’s to keep people engaged in life.

What You’ll Own:

  • Deliver Avanti’s Life Design program with intention, consistency and a high standard of execution.
  • Create fresh experiences that complement our signature programming and reflect the people who actually live in your community.
  • Build genuine relationships with residents - know their stories, interests, talents and what gives them meaning.
  • Drive participation and actively reach residents who aren't yet engaged.
  • Create opportunities for connection, learning, contribution, fun and belonging, inside and outside our walls.
  • Rally the broader Avanti team around resident life, because creating a vibrant community is everyone's responsibility.
  • Own the details:      calendar, communication, participation, resource, budget, and follow-through.
  • Never stop      asking: Who aren't we reaching? What could be better? What's next?

You’ll Thrive Here If:

You bring energy into a room.

You're curious, creative and eager to learn.

You love people, and know how to enroll them in what you have to offer.

You take ownership instead of waiting for direction.

You want feedback because you want to get better.

You can work within a proven program without becoming a box-checker.

You have high standards for yourself and the experiences you create.

Experience in senior living is welcome, but a senior-living mindset is not what we’re looking for. We’re looking for the person with the drive, emotional intelligence, creativity and potential to become exceptional here. If you want to play Bingo every day… this is not the place for you.

What You Bring:

A degree in Therapeutic Recreation is preferred, along with experience in recreation, engagement, wellness, hospitality, education or another people-centered field.

Senior living experience is welcome, but it isn’t what will get you this job. We’re looking for energy, emotional intelligence, creativity, initiative and the potential to become exceptional here.

Why Avanti?

We’re building toward one big ambition: Making Senior Housing Aspirational.

You'll be expected to learn. You'll be challenged to grow. You'll have room to create. And you'll work with people who believe ‘good enough’ is never good enough.

If you want to simply run activities, there are plenty of places that you can do that.

If you want to help redefine what this chapter of life can look and feel like… come build it with us.
