Business Unit:
We design, develop and manufacture high-tech capital equipment for the semiconductor and related global markets. You’ll be joining one of our Manufacturing Design Engineering teams, providing operational support and engineering solutions from our head office in Newport. The role offers broad exposure across engineering, manufacturing, operations, new product launch, sustaining and quality teams, with opportunities to support customers and suppliers throughout Europe, Asia and the USA.

Company Introduction:
Following the Company's extensive onboarding and introduction program, you will join our Graduate Development program which includes Technical Classroom training, Soft-skills training, Team building, corporate responsibility activities and finally placement across all of our operations and process teams. It is not required for you to already have the skills and knowledge to perform the role, full on the job training will be provided through our graduate develop scheme. You will then be welcomed into your Team and continue your development supported by your KLA mentor!
Your experiences will include:
- Work at the heart of a world-class semiconductor manufacturing operation, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, operations and quality teams to develop innovative solutions that bring advanced technology to life.
- Play a hands-on role in launching next-generation products, contributing to New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes and helping transform cutting-edge designs into robust manufacturing solutions used by customers around the world.
- Gain exposure across the full product lifecycle, from development and manufacturing through to sustaining engineering and the global installed base, helping improve product performance, reliability and customer experience.
- Solve real engineering challenges, using structured problem solving, data analysis and industry-leading tools to investigate issues, identify opportunities and drive meaningful improvements.
- Contribute to quality and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, delivery and operational excellence across a fast-paced, high-technology manufacturing environment.
- Accelerate your professional development by working alongside experienced specialists, sharing ideas, presenting your findings, building strong relationships and taking increasing ownership of challenging and rewarding projects.

Your qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (2:1) in Engineering Discipline.
Applicants with a Masters or prior experience of studies within the semiconductor industry would be desirable but certainly not a must.
A good acquaintance with SW tools (MS office, MATLAB) would be advantageous.
