Description
Req. ID:
JR108577 Senior Full Stack Engineer
Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
## About the Team
We are the AI Platform Solutions team within Micron — an internal engineering org building software and AI-powered tools that accelerate the work of engineering teams across the company. We own the platforms, services, and interfaces that help Micron engineers move faster, make better decisions, and reduce toil. Our work spans product feature development, platform reliability, and integrating AI capabilities into real engineering workflows.
## Role Overview
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will drive the design and delivery of complex platform features, set technical direction for your squad, and raise the bar for engineering quality across the team. You are equally comfortable leading architecture discussions, reviewing a CI/CD pipeline, and writing production Python or Spring code — all within an agile delivery cadence.
## What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end design and delivery of features across Angular (frontend) and Python or Spring Boot (backend)
- Own technical solution design for features and platform components — author design documents, drive design reviews, and make defensible trade-off calls on architecture, data models, and integrations
- Identify and address systemic quality, performance, and reliability issues before they become incidents
- Drive CI/CD maturity — improve build pipelines, deployment safety, and automated test coverage
- Partner with product and engineering stakeholders to break down ambiguous requirements into clear, scoped stories
- Mentor mid-level, junior engineers, and new joiners
- Establish and advocate for engineering best practices within the team and broader platform group
## What We're Looking For
Required
- 5–8 years of professional full-stack engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Angular (TypeScript) for frontend development
- Strong proficiency in Python or Java/Spring Boot for backend services
- Proven track record designing and delivering production APIs and services at scale
- Strong command of relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL stores (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB); ability to evaluate and justify data store selection for a given problem
- Hands-on experience with caching strategies and tools (e.g., Redis, Memcached); understands cache invalidation, eviction policies, and consistency trade-offs
- Strong QA practices — writing and maintaining unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) tests; able to define testing strategy for a feature or service, not just write individual tests
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Solid understanding of agile/scrum methodologies; able to independently drive project delivery from requirements through production with minimal oversight
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies — working with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, or GenAI-powered application development
- Practical experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex) and building AI extensions — custom skills, agents, and MCP servers
Nice to Have
- Experience building internal developer platforms or shared engineering tooling
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models or LLMs into production applications
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Contribution to or ownership of platform reliability (SLAs, incident response, on-call practices)
