Investment Operations Associate

We are currently seeking an Investment Operations Associate for our CIIS Client Experience team.

You will manage relationships with our Introducing/Carrying Broker & Portfolio Managers (ICPM) to ensure the highest level of focus is placed on the client’s experience.

You will also be responsible to ensure departmental service standards and organizational goals are met on a daily basis. You will also liaise with other business units to ensure exceptional service is delivered in an efficient and effective manner.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

• Assume primary responsibility for managing and strengthening client relationships for high value clients by building rapport with multiple functions at the client’s organization.
• Responsible for the delivery of superior customer service with respect to all email/telephone inquiries.
• Work with other business units to deal with escalations or reoccurring issues to troubleshoot document, analyze options and provide a resolution. 
• Identify gaps in the products and services that the client uses and advise them on solutions that would help enhance their business.
• Assume a proactive role to ensure customers/users receive superior service by investigating requests/discrepancies and taking corrective action. 
• Work effectively as part of a team to deliver optimal customer service. 
• Promote service excellence by consistently evaluating processes, procedures and/or practices and identifying potential for improvement.  Communicate findings/recommendations to the Supervisor
• Proactively seek feedback from clients to determine their needs to help them grow their business
• Foster a climate of mutual respect, open communication and approachability
• Build a good rapport with all staff within the department and within other departments
• Actively participate in regular client meetings
• Assist with special projects/tasks as assigned by management 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING 

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a service role
• Previous experience in the financial industry, with understanding of the financial industry and registered accounts
• Post-Secondary education
• Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course is an asset
• Understanding of the custodial and clearing businesses is an asset 
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
• Fluency in French is considered an asset

This role follows our in‑office work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $42,500 to $71,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
