Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Assessment in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by screening individuals and belongings, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will help deter incidents while supporting visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and personal belongings entering the location in accordance with established screening procedures and access requirements.
• Monitor entry points, verify authorization as required, and direct visitors to appropriate areas while maintaining professional communication.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying designated personnel as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
