Job Description
We are looking for a talented marketing specialist to support day-to-day governance and regulatory activities of the North America Marketing team for Columbia Threadneedle Investments, part of Ameriprise Financial. This includes collaborating across the business for the update and qualitative review/edit of certain investor communications in cycles throughout the year, assisting in the regulatory review of a growing set of production materials across marketing production and North America more broadly to ensure compliance with SEC regulations, best practices, and business requirements. This role also involves providing operational production reporting support for quarterly and monthly production cycles, attending relevant meetings, and developing recommendations for improvement and marketing governance best practices.Job Responsibilities
- Manages the shareholder reporting process for Marketing, which entails requesting manager discussions from Product, copyediting content, reviewing and resolving business partner comments, managing approval steps for reports and submitting finalized reports for compliance approval.
- Reviews and approves marketing content as a final approver, ensuring adherence to compliance approved templates.
- Understands, interprets and incorporates feedback from stakeholders for revisions of materials.
- Provides regular reporting and/or analysis in support of presentation and commentary production as needed.
- Maintain database of teams' collateral for centralized content management and tracking
- Conduct reviews of various marketing collateral submissions within the firms compliance system for Final Approval as needed in support of standard and ad hoc production, ensuring adherence to compliance approved templates
- Attends and participates in relevant marketing governance and compliance check-ins
- Identify opportunities for the firm to reduce risk, improve consistency, speed to market, and scale production through the application of best practices across the marketing organization
- Coordinates with compliance and marketing to proactively communicate relevant regulatory changes that impact content or procedures
Job Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Economics/ Engineering or any related fields and/or MBA (Finance)/ Master’s in Economics and/or pursuing CFA.
- 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in finance (Asset management experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent Attention to detail and history of conducting editorial review of content.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to track and manage multiple marketing pieces with various process steps and deadlines.
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience within Asset Management compliance and regulations as a reviewer and/or submitter preferred
- Experience working with and managing content within SharePoint.
