With typically 8+ years of experience in finance process management, internal controls, or governance within a global organization, this role designs, implements, and safeguards the process and control framework spanning order management, billing, revenue recognition, and collections, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Serving as the main process owner for Quote to Cash, the Principal Strategic Finance Consultant works with Finance, Sales Operations, Legal, IT, and Internal/External Audit to build governance, reduce risk, and drive standardization, while offering senior leaders informed guidance on process and control design choices that support strength and lead outcomes. The role also sets accounting standards and policy for Quote to Cash accounting operations and contributes strategic financial analysis on business decisions that intersect with the Quote to Cash process, complementing the operational leadership provided by the Lead Accountant team.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Design, implement, and maintain the internal control framework for Quote to Cash, defining control objectives, control activities, and testing protocols to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements
- Act as the primary process owner and governance lead for Quote to Cash, defining process standards, policies, and accountability models, and ensuring consistent application across markets and business units
- Set the accounting standards and policy that govern Quote to Cash accounting operations, including revenue recognition ( IFRS 15), deferred revenue, and accounts receivable, providing senior oversight of accuracy and compliance across Lead Accountant-led operational teams
- Act as the senior escalation and decision point for complex or high-risk revenue contracts, deferred revenue positions, and AR/collections exposures, partnering with Sales, Legal, Tax, Commercial Finance, Finance FP&A and Operational Finance teams
- Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership on business decisions affecting Quote to Cash, investments in process or system capability, long-term financial planning and people performance issues
- Identify, assess, and remediate control gaps and process risks, partnering with Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, and External Audit to support control testing, audit readiness, and issue remediation
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives across Quote to Cash, applying structured continuous-improvement methods to reduce risk, increase efficiency, and strengthen the control environment
- Partner with Sales, Legal, Tax, Commercial Finance, Finance FP&A and Operational Finance regional & GFS teams to ensure finance processes and controls are embedded in day-to-day operations and system design
- Provide experienced guidance and decision support to senior Finance leadership on process design, control adequacy, and governance matters affecting Quote to Cash
- Develop and maintain process documentation, control narratives, and governance frameworks that provide transparency and support knowledge continuity
- Monitor process and control performance through KPIs and metrics, reporting on process health, control effectiveness, and improvement progress to leadership
- Mentor and guide other finance professionals on process, controls, and governance best practices, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Quote to Cash team
- Act as the de facto operational lead for the QtC transactional team within GFS, supporting the current manager in setting performance expectations, monitoring adherence to process/SLAs, and coaching team members to sustain and raise performance in partnership with the local People Manager
