Join a strong, supportive team where your work directly helps keep patient care moving. As an Equipment Logistics Technician, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring medical equipment is clean, safe, functional, and ready when caregivers need it most.
Working in the Coronary and Heart Failure ICUs, you’ll perform rounding to locate, retrieve, and redeploy medical equipment for timely processing and redistribution. You’ll clean, inspect, evaluate, and deliver a wide range of medical devices and equipment, including infusion pumps, syringe pumps, enteral feeding pumps, PCA pumps, DVT pumps, specialty beds, specialty carts, and procedural trays. Your attention to detail helps ensure that equipment is safe, functional, and readily available to support high-quality patient care. You’ll work closely with nurses, nursing assistants, charge nurses, unit secretaries, and other clinical team members to help keep the units running smoothly.
You’ll be joining a welcoming team that values collaboration, professionalism, and supporting one another. A caregiver in this position works days, Mon—Fri, 8:00am—4:30pm. No weekends or holidays.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Clean, deliver, evaluate and inspect specified medical devices and equipment, such as infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, DVT pumps, specialty beds, specialty carts and procedural trays.
Document work activity in an electronic database.
Order supplies, stock patient rooms and deploy supplies to units and departments.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Self-motivating and can perform with minimal supervision
Computer skills and be able to perform a labor-intensive job
Good communication skills
Customer Service skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma/GED
Hospital or logistics experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time.
Ability to travel throughout the Cleveland Clinic health system.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
Ability to operate emergency equipment.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
Ability to move/transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds (lbs.)
Ability to inspect equipment
Ability to install, repair and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures and/or structures
Ability to clean, operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products
Ability to distinguish color.
