Staff Nurse – Cath Lab

Location: London Bridge Hospital
Contract: Permanent
Working Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours), Monday–Friday, shifts between 8am–8pm
Salary: Competitive + Shift Enhancements

At HCA Healthcare UK, we know that exceptional nurses are looking for more than just their next role. They want to work in an environment where advanced technology, clinical excellence and compassionate care come together. At The London Bridge Hospital, you’ll be part of a highly skilled team delivering some of the most complex and innovative procedures in cardiovascular, vascular and interventional care.

Rated “Outstanding” by the CQC, The London Bridge Hospital is one of the UK's leading private hospitals for complex cardiac care. Located in the heart of central London, just moments from London Bridge Station and on the banks of the River Thames, the hospital offers access to world renowned consultants, cutting edge technology and a truly multidisciplinary way of working. It is a place where you can continue to develop your expertise while helping patients receive outstanding care at every stage of their journey.

Joining our Cath Lab team means becoming part of a service that continues to invest in innovation. Our department includes three Cath Labs and supports a diverse and growing portfolio of procedures across cardiology, vascular, radiology and respiratory specialties.

You'll have the opportunity to work alongside leading consultants using advanced technologies, including the Ion robotic assisted bronchoscopy platform, which is helping transform the diagnosis of difficult to reach lung nodules and was first introduced to patients in Europe at The London Bridge Hospital. The technology enables greater precision and access during robotic assisted bronchoscopy procedures, supporting earlier diagnosis and enhanced patient care

Our Cath Lab service operates between 8am and 8pm, offering a range of flexible shift patterns to support both service needs and work life balance.

As a Staff Nurse in the Cath Lab, you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll provide expert clinical care before, during and after procedures while continuing to build your specialist knowledge across multiple areas of practice.

At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.

What you'll do

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures within the Cath Lab.
  • Assist with the preparation, coordination and recovery of patients throughout their procedural journey.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, administer medications and respond to changing clinical needs.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient and patient centred environment within the department.

You'll gain exposure to a wide range of specialist procedures including:

  • Cardiac interventions including angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker insertions, radiofrequency ablations and TAVI.
  • Interventional radiology procedures.
  • PICC line and Permcath insertions.
  • Vascular procedures including EVAR.
  • Advanced respiratory procedures including robotic assisted bronchoscopy using the Ion platform.

What you'll bring

  • Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Previous Cath Lab experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and patient focused care
