In a Distributor Management role are you excited on the tasks that allows you to accelerate vendor performance and shape best practices across the businesses? If so, this Distributor Manager role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.
As a Distributor Manager, you will be responsible for creating and managing the processes, procedures, supplier category segmentation, metrics/Key Performance Indicator (KPI) development and application, scorecard format, and contract management.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Support the Strategic Partnering team to implement best practices for the on-going management of the Strategic Partners & Advocates
- Partner with Procurement, Advocates and the Strategic Partnering team to review compliance, assess risk, negotiate business terms with Partners
- Participate and support the implementation of internal processes and policies with adequate controls
- Create procedural documentation and job aids for a knowledge library that can be leveraged by the business for day-to-day operations.
- Maintain current industry knowledge of Distributor and Channel Performance Management, assist leadership with managing ongoing road-map and technology vision
- Ensure timely payments of channel and account invoices and claims while maintaining accurate records
- Identify and track strategic partner/business partner escalations and resolutions
- Work closely with the internal/external auditors during annual audits
- Aggregate and report on business partner and partners plans, progress, and results in consultation with business partners and the Strategic Partnering team
- Accountable for producing material for the standard engagement matrix like Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) & Top to Top Reviews
- Work with client partners and senior stakeholders to build content for QBR’s & Executive Reviews
- Validate spend data for all Quarterly & Executive Reviews
• Ensure all partner relationships have required data to evaluate performance and ensure adherence to KPI’s through surveys and scorecards
- Coordinate the setup of the annual Strategic Partnering Summit.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
5 - 10 years' experience in managing distributor operations in MNC or FMCG companies
General Trade experience - dynamics of area, channels and key customers
Sales Forecasting
Financial and Commercial knowledge
Negotiation and Influencing skills
Analytical, Good Communication and Presentation skills
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 or more years of experience with relevant General Trade management
- Strong stakeholder management experience within in matrix environment
- Strong experience in scoping and delivering projects
Preferred Qualifications:
FMCG/CHC sales experience
Direct distributor management
Forecasting, Inventory/stock and business planning
P&L / financial management
Experience with consumer healthcare brands, OTC products, pharmacy, supermarket and community stores
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks across multiple projects using project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to display key attributes of successful business partnering including building strong relationships with key individuals
- Strong understanding of planning & resource management
