Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, motivated Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial restoration and reconstruction projects throughout Salt Lake County.
Our company restores properties damaged by water, fire, wind, and other unexpected events. The Project Manager owns each job from initial assessment through completion-coordinating technicians and subcontractors, managing schedules and scopes, communicating with customers and insurance professionals, and delivering work that is safe, efficient, and consistent with company standards.
This role reports to the Team Manager and is based in the Salt Lake County service area.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $60,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Develop scopes of work and ensure estimates accurately reflect required labor, materials, equipment, and services.
- Review plans, specifications, and scopes so work is completed to project requirements.
- Monitor progress, budgets, schedules, and profitability; flag issues early.
- Coordinate emergency and scheduled restoration work from mitigation through reconstruction.
Customer & Insurance Relations
- Maintain timely, professional communication with homeowners, property managers, agents, and adjusters.
- Set clear expectations on scope, schedule, cost, and completion.
- Provide regular updates and resolve customer questions and concerns promptly.
- Build strong relationships with insurance professionals, referral sources, vendors, and subcontractors.
Subcontractor & Vendor Management
- Schedule and manage subcontractors throughout each project.
- Obtain and review bids and help select appropriate vendors.
- Inspect workmanship and confirm work meets company and project standards.
- Follow up on schedules, quality, punch lists, and outstanding items.
- Keep current resource information on products, materials, vendors, and subcontractors.
Team & Operations
- Attend departmental, operational, and company meetings as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of restoration processes and procedures.
- Respond to emergency restoration calls as required.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Able to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license. (Company vehicle provided.)
- Ability to respond to emergency restoration situations as required.
- Residence in or near Salt Lake County in order to arrive on site within about one hour of notification.
Preferred
- 2–5 years of construction management or project management experience.
- 1+ year preparing, negotiating, and selling estimates in disaster restoration.
- Experience with Xactimate and ProvenJobs (or similar estimating / job-management software).
- Knowledge of water and mold mitigation, contents cleaning, environmental services, demolition, and reconstruction.
- Knowledge of residential and commercial construction, especially remodeling and restoration.
- Experience working with insurance companies, adjusters, homeowners, property managers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- IICRC or other relevant restoration industry certifications.
Location
This position primarily serves Salt Lake County. Because the role includes timely response to customer homes, candidates should live in or near the county.
