Description
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Front Line Leader- Paint 2do Turno.
## What you’ll do:
Overall responsibility for leading the fabrication team in achieving production schedule, NPI´s, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals. You will coordinate with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements, monitors and manages hourly, indirect and salaried resources in the assignment of work responsibilities, development, and alignment of resources.
The position drives safety, quality & continuous improvement in production while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).
Job responsibilities
- Lead and/or participate in TIER (safety, start up and production followup) meetings according to the Leader Standard Work.
- Manage and direct all manufacturing activities to ensure completion of customer requirements.
- Assess performance indicators, and take appropriate actions, to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are met.
- Ensure required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system, and financial reporting requirements.
- Assure policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product.
- Provide leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance.
- Support product design organization through new product introduction phase to ensure customer manufacturing delivery times are met.
- Ensure that Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.
- Evaluate operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc.
- Coordinate and assist with business initiatives, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across enterprise.
- Develop and implement programs to utilize the elements of Eaton Business System EBS to achieve strategic goals of the plant, and profit plan objectives of the plant.
- Provide leadership that will enable subordinate personnel to develop and deploy the Eaton Business System EBS toolbox: Eaton Lean System, Six Sigma.
- Ensure that systems and operations are compliant with prescribed quality system requirement opportunities.
- Define root causes to scrap and rework and develop permanent corrective action to reduce or eliminate.
- Coordinate continous improvement events (Kaizen).
- Comply with and adhere to the policies and procedures established in the applicable Management Systems (EQMS, MESH, Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015 standards) to ensure compliance with the Management System.
## Qualifications:
Education level required
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical or electromechanical engineering or similar
Years of experience required
- 3 years of experince in painting and assembly operations.
- 3 years of experience in leadership.
Area of expertise
- Painting Process knowledge and experience on powder painting and coating.
## Skills:
Technical knowledge
Knowledge of powder painting process, pre treatment systems, chain.
Knowledge or Certification NACE. (desirable)
Thorough understanding of assembly operations, electrical products (Preferred).
Proven working experience within Operations, Lean and Continuous Improvement activities.
Strong analytical skills and understanding of problem solving tools and methods (ELSS, 8D, PDCA, etc.).
Understanding of the business, its overall processes, budgets and cost drivers.
Fluent in English.
Proficient in MS Office.
Green Belt, preferably.
Knowledge of MRP/ERP system. MAPICS or SAP desirable
