Job Description

As a Security Officer Commercial Facility Full Time Access Credentialing in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential location, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and assisting residents, visitors, and vendors. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, maintain entry records, and communicate access-related concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established residential property procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and access-related activity through accurate reports and shift communications.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
