Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Skills Instructor – Mechanical I to deliver foundational training in mechanical concepts, techniques, and practical skills. This role will develop instructional materials, support hands-on learning activities, evaluate student progress, and provide technical guidance during training exercises.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Mechanical Engineering, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver foundational training in mechanical concepts, principles, and techniques.

Develop instructional materials, including:

Lesson plans
-
Presentations
-
Hands-on exercises

Training aids
-

Facilitate classroom and practical training activities.

Provide technical support and guidance during hands-on exercises.

Assess student learning progress and provide constructive feedback.

Help identify areas where additional instruction or reinforcement may be needed.

Collaborate with senior instructors to improve training programs and materials.

Maintain organized training documentation and instructional resources.

Stay current with industry best practices, technologies, and mechanical training methods.

Promote a safe and effective learning environment.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and principles.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong presentation and instructional abilities.

Ability to explain technical information in a clear and understandable manner.

Patience and willingness to support learners with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Ability to work collaboratively with instructors, technical staff, and students.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Willingness to learn and adapt to changing training needs and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in technical training, instruction, mentoring, or coaching.

Experience developing training materials or hands-on learning exercises.

Familiarity with industrial, utility, power generation, or mechanical maintenance environments.

Knowledge of adult learning principles is a plus.
