Description
OUR MISSION
We exist to create a more connected, compassionate, and confident experience for people with cancer and those who care for them. We make it easier to get answers, access high-quality care quickly, and feel supported throughout treatment and beyond.
Today, Thyme Care is a market-leading value-based oncology care enabler, partnering with national and regional health plans, providers, and employers to deliver better outcomes and lower costs for thousands of people across the country. Our model combines high-touch human support with powerful technology and AI to bring together everyone involved in a person’s cancer journey: caregivers, oncologists, health plans, and employers.
As a tech-native organization, we believe technology should strengthen the human connection at the center of care. Through data science, automation, and AI, we simplify complexity, improve collaboration, and help care teams focus on what matters most: supporting people through cancer.
Looking ahead, our vision is bold: to become a household name in cancer care, where every person diagnosed asks for Thyme Care by name. If you’re inspired to make cancer care more human and to help reimagine what’s possible, we’d love to meet you. Together, we can build a future where every person with cancer feels truly cared for, in every moment that matters.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
We are seeking a Georgia-licensed physician who resides within the state to serve as the collaborating physician for our nurse practitioner team providing general oncology triage and palliative care services. This is an oversight and collaboration role — the physician does not see patients directly but provides the required supervision, chart co-signature, clinical consultation, and periodic collaboration with Thyme Care NPs.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as collaborating physician of record under a written nurse protocol agreement filed with the Georgia Medical Board for each supervised NP.
Co-sign NP clinical notes and charts per the schedule defined in the protocol agreement.
Participate in regular (e.g., monthly or as defined) collaboration meetings with NPs to review cases, patterns of care, and quality concerns.
Conduct required periodic chart/record reviews.
No direct patient care, independent panel, or hands-on clinical services required under this role.
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license (MD or DO).
Principal practice location physically based in Georgia.
Prior experience with NP/APRN collaborative or supervisory relationships preferred.
Comfortable with remote/asynchronous consultation model.
Time Commitment
Part-time structured around: (a) scheduled availability windows for clinical questions, (b) periodic (e.g., monthly) collaboration meetings, (c) regular chart reviews.
Compensation
Structured as 1099 independent contractor fee, flat fee of $200/hr x 10hr/week.
