We currently have an exciting opportunity to join a growing Energy/Projects team in our Singapore office as an Associate level lawyer. This role offers a unique combination of corporate and project development matters, working closely with the Partner who advises energy and natural resources clients on complex cross-border projects, transactions and commercial arrangements across Asia and globally, encompassing LNG, gas, power, mining and energy transition-related matters.

Along with first rate exposure to large and complex corporate transactions and energy projects, you will work in close collaboration with the Partner. This role also offers meaningful opportunity and scope for training, development, active involvement in business development and client facing activities.

Candidate Profile

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess a combination of the following attributes, experience and skills:

  • Common law qualified (admitted in UK, Hong Kong, Australia)
  • 2-5 years' post-qualification experience gained within an energy/projects background
  • Common law-qualified candidates currently living in other countries who are willing to relocate to Singapore are welcome to apply
  • Pragmatic and proactive mindset, taking initiative, anticipating challenges and actively seeking effective solutions
  • Excellent legal drafting, research and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and build effective working relationships with clients, local counsel and colleagues
  • Language proficiency: English (native). Mandarin (good business level proficiency) will be an advantage.
  • A willingness to relocate to Singapore for overseas candidates with some work-related travel.
