Purpose:
The Tax Technology Manager / Senior Associate will report to the Tax Technology Senior Manager and support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the organization's tax technology ecosystem across income tax provision and compliance processes.
This role is designed for a tax professional with strong technology capabilities who can independently own workstreams, build practical automation solutions, and apply a working knowledge of corporate income tax concepts to improve data quality, controls, efficiency, and scalability.
The position will have a significant focus on ONESOURCE Tax Provision and ONESOURCE Income Tax as the organization expands its use of these platforms over the next one to two years. The role will primarily support U.S. federal tax processes and may also support state and Bermuda tax processes.
Accountabilities:
• Own assigned tax technology and process-improvement workstreams from requirements gathering through design, build, testing, implementation, documentation, and ongoing support.
• Build and maintain automation solutions that replace or reduce manual spreadsheet-based processes across tax provision, compliance, data preparation, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Support the configuration, administration, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of ONESOURCE Tax Provision and ONESOURCE Income Tax, including templates, data imports, mappings, workflows, provision-to-return processes, troubleshooting, upgrades, and user support.
• Partner with tax stakeholders to understand process requirements, ask relevant tax and data questions, and translate business needs into scalable, controlled technology solutions.
• Extract, map, transform, validate, and reconcile financial and tax data from general ledger, trial balance, investment, actuarial, and other source systems.
• Develop solutions using Microsoft 365 tools, Power Platform, Power BI, and approved artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.
• Evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including generative AI, to appropriate tax use cases while maintaining strong controls, documentation, reviewability, and data governance.
• Support quarterly and annual income tax close processes, including data preparation, validation, reconciliations, workpaper development, and issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot system, workflow, and data issues; identify root causes and coordinate timely resolution with tax, finance, accounting, information technology, vendors, and third-party consultants.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, control documentation, user guides, and training materials for tax systems and automation solutions.
• Provide training and ongoing support to tax users to promote adoption, consistent execution, and effective use of new tools and processes.
• Assist with system implementations, enhancements, integrations, testing, and technology rollouts, including coordination with external consultants.
• Contribute to other tax technology, transformation, and special projects as needed.

• Relevant experience in corporate income tax, tax technology, tax provision, tax compliance, or a related area; the level may be filled as Senior Associate or Manager based on the selected candidate's experience and capabilities.
• Hands-on working knowledge and practical experience with both ONESOURCE Tax Provision and ONESOURCE Income Tax and/or Corptax.
• Familiarity with ASC 740, corporate income tax compliance, consolidated federal income tax returns, book-to-tax adjustments, and related tax accounting concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to build technology-enabled solutions and automate tax or finance processes, rather than solely define requirements or manage projects.

• Practical familiarity with artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot, including the ability to identify and develop appropriate business use cases.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
