Caviness Beef Packers, LTD is a progressive beef packer and further processor whose products are marketed through a variety of foodservice and retail channels.
Caviness Beef Packers has been family owned and operated for over 60 Years and is currently led by 2nd and 3rd generation family members. Since 1962, Caviness has remained one of the most relationship oriented companies in the beef industry. The business has grown from harvesting a handful of cattle, in the early days, to 2900 head processed each day. Today, the company operates two processing locations and markets products worldwide.
Your Quality Mission
As an FSQA Technician, you'll help keep Caviness grind plant beef products on-spec, on-safe, and ready for customers-every single shift. You exist to protect quality, food safety, and compliance while supporting production in real time.
Key responsibilities include monitoring and inspecting production processes; verifying product meets Company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements; and maintaining compliance with USDA and FSIS expectations through clear communication and accurate documentation.
Required qualifications/skills:
- 2+ years as a quality assurance technician; experience in beef processing or a grind plant setting
- Knowledge of GMPs plus USDA/FSIS food safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail; solid communication and recordkeeping
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs. and handle repetitive, physical work (standing/walking, stairs, concrete floors)
- HS Diploma/GED preferred; some college and food science/production training preferred
- Available for Monday-Friday 5:00am to end of production; occasional Saturday/overtime

Throughout the shift, you move between work areas, checking that what's happening matches what's required, then capturing what you see with clean, confident documentation. You'll connect with production teammates in a support-first way-quick questions, clear updates, and steady follow-through-so the line keeps moving while standards stay locked in. By the time production winds down, you've helped keep the operation audit-ready and the product consistent, shift after shift in Amarillo.
