Labor & Employment Litigation Associate | Irvine, California | $175,000–$250,000/year
Some attorneys want a role where they can do more than research and draft behind the scenes. They want to manage cases, work directly with clients, take depositions, argue matters, and build real litigation experience.

You’ll join an established California labor and employment boutique with a statewide presence and a strong focus on representing employers. The firm has been growing and offers attorneys the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful matters while continuing to develop their practice.
Why Your Work Matters
You’ll be involved in employment litigation from start to finish, helping employer clients navigate disputes that can have a significant impact on their businesses.
Your work will include matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage-and-hour claims, PAGA, and class actions. You’ll also have opportunities to handle hearings, mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and court appearances.
What You’ll Do
- Manage employment litigation matters from start to finish
- Investigate claims, analyze legal issues, and develop case strategies
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents
- Take and defend depositions
- Handle hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
- Represent employers before agencies such as the DLSE and NLRB
- Provide employment-law counseling and compliance advice
- Handle discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage-and-hour matters
- Work on PAGA and class-action litigation
- Support labor relations, union negotiations, and collective bargaining
- Build strong employer-client relationships
- Participate in business development, client development, and recruiting activities
What You Bring
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership and good standing
- 3–7 years of Labor & Employment Law experience
- Strong California employment law experience
- Experience handling employment litigation
- Strong legal research, writing, analysis, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and client priorities
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and teams
Experience with wage-and-hour litigation, PAGA, class actions, DLSE, NLRB, labor relations, union matters, collective bargaining, employment counseling, depositions, or courtroom/hearing work is a strong plus.
