Requirements
The Welder is responsible for welding and assembling metal components used in the production of furniture frames and related products. This position ensures all welded components meet company quality standards and are structurally sound before moving to the next stage of production, such as grinding, finishing, or powder coating
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on metal components used in furniture frames and assemblies.
- Assemble metal parts using jigs, fixtures, and blueprints to ensure proper alignment and accuracy.
- Read and interpret production drawings, work orders, and specifications.
- Inspect welded components for structural integrity, proper weld penetration, and overall quality.
- Grind, smooth, and clean welds as needed to prepare parts for finishing or powder coating.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and workstations in proper working condition.
- Identify defective materials or welding issues and report them to a supervisor.
- Meet production goals and maintain efficiency while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company housekeeping standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
