Reporting to the Medium Volt Supply Chain Planning Manager, the EPR Supply Chain Planner develops and executes production and inventory plans that support customer demand, operational efficiency, and working-capital objectives. This role connects Commercial, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Customer Service to align forecasts, schedules, material availability, capacity, and delivery commitments. The planner uses SAP, planning tools, and analytics to balance customer service, manufacturing constraints, inventory investment, and business priorities while driving continuous improvement. Serve as the key planning link between Indianapolis Compounds and Medium Voltage manufacturing operations, ensuring compound production plans align with cable manufacturing demand and customer delivery requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage planning for assigned product lines, balancing demand, capacity, material availability, backlog priorities, and inventory targets.
  • Coordinate compound supply planning with Medium Voltage production schedules to ensure material availability, optimize inventory levels, and minimize manufacturing disruptions.
  • Support the S&OP process through analysis of demand, supply constraints, capacity utilization, inventory performance, and service risks.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate production schedules and customer-order priorities aligned with business objectives.
  • Facilitate the production plan and deliveries of product from international manufacturing sites
  • Partner with Commercial teams to review customer requirements, delivery commitments, and supply risks, and drive proactive resolution.
  • Monitor manufacturing loading and capacity; identify bottlenecks and recommend actions to improve production flow and customer service.
  • Coordinate material planning and procurement needs for raw materials and finished goods while maintaining inventory policies.
  • Analyze inventory health, DIO, ABC classifications, and excess or slow-moving stock; identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Maintain lead-time inputs and review demand variability, unusual demand, forecast accuracy, and customer-service performance.
  • Coordinate expedites and recovery plans with Manufacturing and Procurement when orders or material supply are at risk.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using SAP, Excel, and other planning tools; support process standardization and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field.

3+ years of supply chain planning, production scheduling, operations, inventory management, or logistics experience.

ERP experience, preferably SAP; strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

PREFERRED

Wire and cable or industrial manufacturing experience.

Knowledge of S&OP, demand planning, capacity planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization.

APICS/ASCM, Six Sigma, or related certification.

Experience with SAP, Power BI, Qlik, or similar reporting and analytics tools.
