Job Summary
• This role is responsible for leading hardware reliability and system validation activities throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure product quality, reliability, and manufacturing readiness. The role drives risk-based validation strategies, identifies and mitigates product quality risks, and collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams to improve design maturity and customer experience. The role applies advanced reliability engineering expertise to influence product development decisions, validate design changes, and ensure successful product launches.
Responsibilities
• Leads reliability validation and qualification activities for printer and imaging products, subsystems, and components across all stages of product development.
• Develops and executes comprehensive validation plans covering reliability, environmental, transportation, manufacturing readiness, and system-level testing.
• Leads risk identification and failure analysis activities to proactively prevent customer experience issues and field failures.
• Reviews product designs, engineering changes, TPM (Technology, Parts, and Materials) modifications, and manufacturing processes to identify potential quality and reliability risks.
• Collaborates with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supplier teams to define validation scope and resolve product quality issues.
• Developes reliability validation methodologies, acceptance criteria, and risk-based test strategies.
• Analyzes validation results, reliability metrics, and quality trends to provide actionable recommendations to engineering and leadership teams.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or any related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically has 7–10 years of work experience, preferably in hardware validation, reliability engineering, quality assurance, product development, or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience working with global cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
