Job Summary:
As the HR Business Partner (HRBP) for the Latin America, you’ll act as the go-to people leader for your geography—connecting our global HR strategy to local needs. You’ll build trusted relationships with managers and employees, helping shape a positive culture while ensuring compliance with local labor laws. This role blends strategic partnership and hands-on HR delivery. In this role you will report dually to the XPEL Head of HR and the Region Leader.
Core Duties
- Partner with leaders to align P&C initiatives with business goals and local culture.
- Coach managers on leadership, feedback, and team performance.
- Lead local engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Lead local hiring and onboarding.
- Drive performance and development conversations across the team.
- Lead local pay and benefits alignment.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, employment contracts, and statutory reporting.
- Analyze people data and share insights to inform leadership decisions.
- Continuously look for ways to simplify and improve P&C processes.
- Other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of HR experience, including at least 3 years as an Business Partner or Manager in Respective Country.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Functional knowledge of and/or resourcefulness to ensure compliance with local employment laws and best practices.
- Proven experience in a global or matrixed organization.
- Great communication and relationship-building skills across cultures.
- A balanced mindset—strategic thinker and practical problem solver.
- Comfort using HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors (Workday preferred)) and HR data analytics.
- Fluent in Spanish and English. Portuguese is a plus.
- Travel requirements of ~25%
