Description
This position requires extensive knowledge of specialized functions. A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with and understanding both general and specific phases of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
Duties:
• General maintenance of buildings and offices at TurbineAero.
• Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Work with the Preventive Maintenance System.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and continuous operation of water treatment system
• Responsible for shop hazardous waste pick up.
• Responsible for shop hazardous waste packaging per EPA requirements
• Responsible for shop hazardous waste onsite storage per EPA requirements.
• Responsible for shop hazardous waste manifesting for shipment per EPA requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring HS&E representative schedules hazardous waste shipments within EPA time limits after packaging.
• Responsible for ensuring 70,000 sq ft of shop floor is cleaned with Tennant Floor Scrubber the 1st week of every month at a minimum.
• Responsible for identifying unsafe conditions found anywhere on the property to the Director of Maintenance.
• Maintenance: Performing preventive maintenance such as cleaning filters and coils, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting ductwork, and calibrating thermostats
• Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnosing system malfunctions, repairing or replacing defective components, and using specialized diagnostic tools to resolve issues
• Installation: Setting up HVAC systems according to blueprints and building specifications, connecting units to electrical, plumbing, and ductwork systems, and ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards.
• Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnosing system malfunctions, repairing or replacing defective components, and using specialized diagnostic tools to resolve issues
• Must possess or secure required proper hand tools.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and dexterity
• Must be able to work with minimal to no supervision on basic and preventative maintenance.
• Work with and under the direction of the Sr. Maintenance Tech and/or supervisor on projects.
• Requires a valid driver's license & proof of insurance as you will be required to drive to three locations in the valley
Responsibilities Performs HVAC Services & Repairs other facilities and equipment maintenance as assigned.
Requirements
• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Technical trade school, apprenticeship, or Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology preferred.
• Experience: HVAC Certification 2-5 years Performing HVAC Services & Repairs and other facilities and equipment maintenance as assigned.
• 2 – 5 of hands-on maintenance experience in aerospace, heat treating, or heavy industrial environments. hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance experience specifically with vacuum and/or gas-fired industrial furnaces.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work under adverse conditions.
