Position Highlights

HealthPlus Staffing is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a well-established multi-specialty physician group in the greater Sacramento area.

This is a General Gastroenterology opportunity focused on comprehensive GI care. It is not a GI Hospitalist role. The practice offers a strong built-in referral network, collaborative hospital support, competitive compensation, and a clear shareholder track.

New graduates and experienced Gastroenterologists are encouraged to apply.

Practice Details

• Full-time employed position

• Monday through Friday schedule

• Approximately 30 patient-contact hours per week

• Established General Gastroenterology practice

• Strong built-in referral network within a large multi-specialty group

• Collaborative GI division with support from the hospital medicine team

• Shared clinic and hospital call schedule of approximately 1:5

• Additional compensation available for call responsibilities

• Current EMR: MEDITECH

• Transition to Epic planned for 2027

• Clear partnership/shareholder-track opportunity

• No travel required

Clinical Opportunity

• Comprehensive General Gastroenterology practice

• Perform routine screening, diagnostic, and therapeutic endoscopic procedures

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions

• Provide longitudinal management of acute and chronic digestive disorders

• Participate in shared clinic and hospital call coverage

• Collaborate with hospital medicine, primary care, surgery, and other specialty teams

• No EUS requirement

• This is not a GI Hospitalist position

• Opportunity to build a long-term practice within an established referral network

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $586,000 – $690,000 annually

• Additional call compensation

• Sign-on Bonus: $30,000

• Relocation Assistance: Up to $20,000 for candidates relocating from outside California

• Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 for candidates relocating within California

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship

• California medical license or ability to obtain

• DEA certification or ability to obtain

• Strong procedural and clinical Gastroenterology skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
