Our 95,000 employees work across more than 150 countries to put patients first — developing innovative medical technologies that improve the lives of 72+ million patients each year. Your unique talents will help shape the future of healthcare while building a career grounded in purpose, growth, and impact.

A Day in the Life

Are you passionate about building Operational Excellence capabilities that drive meaningful business outcomes and improve lives? Join Medtronic, the global leader in healthcare technology, and help shape the future of our Global Operations & Supply Chain organization.

As the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operational Excellence, you will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, driving transformational change across supply chain and business operations. In this highly visible role, you will lead the deployment of the Medtronic Performance System (MPS), our enterprise-wide framework for continuous improvement, while developing the capabilities, competencies, and mindsets that enable sustainable operational excellence.

Working closely with cross-functional leaders, you will identify opportunities to improve performance, and streamline processes across the Supply Chain. Through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on leadership, you will empower teams to solve problems, accelerate results, and strengthen Medtronic's ability to deliver life-saving products to patients around the world.

We move bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness, always putting patients first in everything we do. This role is remote within the United States, with a preference for candidates located near a Medtronic site to support stronger cross functional collaboration and maintain our competitive advantage. The position requires approximately 50–75% travel to foster collaboration and ensure successful project execution.

About the Position

  • Lead the deployment and advancement of the Medtronic Performance System (MPS), leveraging standardized methodologies, tools, and best practices to drive operational excellence across assigned functions and business teams.

  • Partner with functional and cross-functional leaders to identify strategic improvement opportunities, establish performance objectives, and deliver measurable results aligned to organizational goals and key performance indicators.

  • Drive end-to-end process transformation initiatives by applying Lean Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste, improve efficiency, optimize workflows, and enhance value stream performance.

  • Build organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, and training leaders and employees in continuous improvement methodologies, problem-solving techniques, and value stream thinking.

  • Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, and improvement engagements that accelerate business performance and support operational transformation, including select supplier and contract manufacturing partner initiatives.

  • Develop and execute improvement roadmaps that deliver sustainable gains in quality, service, cost, productivity, and employee engagement.

  • Influence and inspire change across multiple functions, helping teams adopt new ways of working and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years or an advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, supply chain, business operations, operational excellence, or a related field

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification with demonstrated application of continuous improvement methodologies in complex business environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record driving large-scale operational excellence and transformation initiatives, leveraging Lean Six Sigma principles to improve performance across cross-functional value streams.

  • Exceptional change leadership, coaching, and influencing skills, with the ability to build organizational capability and drive adoption of new ways of working without direct authority.

  • Strong business, operational, and financial acumen combined with effective project management and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver sustainable results.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience teaching, mentoring, and translating complex concepts into actionable business outcomes.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
