Description

Raisin is the world’s leading platform for savings and investment products. Founded in 2012, the FinTech connects consumers with banks in the EU, the UK and the US. This gives consumers better interest rates and banks a diversified form of refinancing. Our vision is to offer savings and investments without barriers and thus open up the global 160 trillion euro market.

Raisin currently employs more than 800 people from over 75 countries worldwide. Today, the platform holds over 80 billion euros in assets from more than one million investors which have accrued over 5 billion euros in returns.

Team

The AFC Operations team is primarily responsible for transaction monitoring and the KYC process, including PEP and sanctions screening. The team ensures that all customer activities comply with applicable AML and regulatory requirements, identifying and escalating suspicious activities where necessary.

Working in close collaboration with the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), the team plays a key role in safeguarding the organization against financial crime risks. In addition, AFC Operations continuously reviews and improves internal processes to enhance efficiency, data quality and regulatory compliance standards.

Your Responsibilities

  • Name List Screening & Investigations: Manage and review alerts generated by our Name List Screening systems, including Sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), and Adverse Media. You will conduct thorough KYC-related investigations to verify customer identities and mitigate potential risks.
  • SAR Process Management: Handle the end-to-end Suspicious Activity Report (SAR/Verdachtsmeldung) process. You will draft, review, and file SARs, ensuring that all filings and supporting documentation are accurate, timely, and meet strict regulatory requirements.
  • Screening Framework & Optimisation: Support the conceptual development and continuous optimisation of the bank's screening infrastructure. This involves assisting in refining matching logic and tuning threshold settings to minimise false positives while ensuring we capture relevant risks.
  • Operational Controls & Quality Assurance: Execute operational monitoring activities and internal controls specific to the KYC and screening domain. Your focus is to ensure the daily output of the screening unit consistently meets high quality and regulatory standards

Your Profile

  • Academic Background: University degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Solid professional experience (e.g., 2-4 years) in Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) within the financial services industry, with a strong, demonstrable focus on KYC, customer due diligence, and Name List Screening.
  • SAR & Regulatory Expertise: Hands-on experience with SAR filing processes. You possess good knowledge of national and international regulatory frameworks (e.g., German GwG, KWG, EU AML Directives) as well as global sanctions regimes (e.g., EU, OFAC, UN).
  • Process Excellence: Proven experience in executing, documenting, and supporting the optimisation of KYC and screening processes and workflows.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with a high attention to detail and the ability to make well-founded decisions based on complex data.
  • Linguistic Proficiency: You demonstrate business-level fluency in English combined with exceptional German language skills, both of which are mandatory for this role.
