Job Description

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for planning and purchase of goods and services to support multiple distribution centers around the Globe from the supply chain forecast-to-procurement cycle. FG Planner-Buyers will lead and control the materials requirements. Monitor inventory levels, on time delivery performance, and purchase materials, services and commodity products.

Delegated to negotiate and commit the company to purchase contracts. Evaluate, rates and select suppliers by production capability, performance, quality and delivery.

Major responsibilities include developing supplier production plans and priorities according to requirements. These plans design our distribution centers in Asia, America, and Europe. Additionally, responsibilities involve managing inventory at levels. This also includes monitoring, rebalancing, and distributing materials around distribution centers based on requirements and inventory levels. Expedite materials to avoid shortages. Materials parameters review. Improve On Time Delivery Levels. Ensure and provide communication with our team members and customers about material status. Create, release, pulled in, push out and follow up purchase orders.

Analyze and determine causes for missed on time deliveries and implement actions to improve performance. Procure assigned materials/commodities from specified suppliers that vary in complexity and following all relevant procedures. Directly manage the performance of assigned suppliers and system maintenance. Resolve complex material shortages and comprehensive supplier disputes. May lead team activities.

You will report to our Finished Goods Planning Manager.

Main responsibilities:

  • you will develop supply and inventory plans to support customer demand and our goals.
  • Manage purchase orders, forecasts, and replenishment strategies with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including On-Time Delivery (OTD), lead times, confirmation rates, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
  • you will analyze demand, supply, and inventory data to identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Lead resolution of material shortages, past due orders, excess inventory, and supply disruptions.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, and Engineering teams to support new product introductions, product transitions, and ongoing production requirements.
  • Improve supplier accountability through regular business reviews, escalation management, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Evaluate inventory strategies and recommend actions to improve service levels while optimizing working capital.
  • Maintain planning parameters, supply chain metrics tools to support operational decision-making.
  • Participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Forecast Reviews, and Supply Reviews to align demand and supply strategies.
  • Support contract negotiations and supplier agreements by providing planning, inventory, and operational insights.
  • Identify process improvements that increase planning efficiency, data accuracy, and supply chain performance.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial Engineer, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, or relevant field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Planning, Materials Planning, Procurement, Purchasing, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of MRP, inventory, and production principles.
  • Results in improving and implementing cost reduction programs.
  • SAP/ERP experience CPIM, CSCP certification desirable.
  • Important Competency Requirements team leader/contributor, comfortable in leading and multicultural teams.
  • Analytical, demonstrated and project management skills
  • Team work havees well-rounded knowledge in supply chain, materials planning.
  • Experience with Power BI, data analytics, or other reporting tools.
  • Proficient in dealing with language and cultural barriers.
  • Travel: You will have limited travel to Rockwell Automation and supplier locations (US and int'l).
