Description
As the employment agency hiring temporary workers to be assigned to the Gates Foundation, we are responsible for direct hiring and seeking candidates for the following temporary role at the Foundation.
AgileOne designs and develops global workforce and procurement solutions for Fortune 1000 companies. Our focused and consultative approach provides solutions that streamline business processes and deliver efficiencies to human resources, procurement, and suppliers.
The Team
The Business Development & Licensing team (BD&L) provides transaction and negotiating support to the Program Strategy Teams to execute high-priority agreements with the private sector. The team focuses on transaction execution for deals that meet the Presidential priority investment criteria. The team develops best practices when engaging and negotiating with the private sector to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of private sector deals and optimal programmatic impact.
Your Role
The Program Manager on the BD&L team will facilitate the coordination and integration of related program efforts across multiple program and operational teams. This role will partner closely with division leadership to provide support and coordination for all evaluation, negotiation, and deal activities with both new and existing partners.
What You'll Do
- Provide process and project management support for all aspects of the execution of business development strategies.
- Collaborate with programmatic and operations staff to execute program objectives and parameters of the effort.
- Establish highly effective and collaborative relationships with key internal functions to facilitate and ensure effective deal teams to execute target transactions.
- Coordinate and manage BD&L meetings with internal and external stakeholders and partners, including the preparation of all deal diligence documents, deal update presentations, and other materials.
- Produce program materials, templates, and presentations for transactions and best practice advisory services.
- Coordinate and manage internal meetings to establish business development best practices with for-profit partners.
- Develop the infrastructure to facilitate resource and knowledge management including launch, communications, and adoption plans.
- Gather and synthesize relevant program information to prepare for BD&L Business Council reporting, including analytic contributions and surfacing key strategic findings and recommendations.
- Develop a strong understanding of business processes and systems, and actively contribute to roadmap for maturing future business capability.
- Conduct research and produce written materials to support strategic decision-making and communications.
- Conduct data analysis on deal performance, including benchmarking analysis to identify trends and inform process improvements.
- Plan and coordinate team retreats including team-building and professional development exercises.
- Support recruitment planning and facilitation, onboarding, and extended support as needed to help new team members ramp up and integrate into BD&L processes, tools, and stakeholder relationships.
Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated program management skills and a successful track record of leading multiple projects at a time.
- Proven systems thinker with strategic and tactical focus.
- Strong facility in visually presenting information (e.g., comfort and familiarity with PowerPoint or other presentation software and data visualization methodologies) and producing clear presentation materials and deliverables.
- Excellence in using informal influence and non-positional leadership to accomplish work.
- Team player who motivates and educates other team members and understands the value of interpersonal relationship building.
- Quick study, ability to delve into new subject matter and come up to speed in a relatively brief period.
- Prior success and interest in tech implementation and process automation.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter; comfortable with only high-level direction.
Your Experience
- Bachelor’s or other advanced degree with 7+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
*This is a temporary backfill position, with an expected 6 month duration, starting in September 2026.
*Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.
