We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and adaptable Medical Assistant to join our Multispecialty Medical Clinic as a full-time Float Medical Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys variety, learning new skills, and working with different providers and patient populations. In this role, you will provide clinical and administrative support across multiple specialties, helping our teams maintain excellent patient care and efficient clinic flow.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome and room patients in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and current concerns.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and provider visits.
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations and office procedures within your scope of practice.
• Perform clinical duties such as injections, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and other tasks appropriate to your training and certification.
• Prepare and maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked examination rooms.
• Accurately document patient information and clinical care in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with referrals, laboratory testing, imaging, and follow-up appointments.
• Answer patient calls and electronic messages and appropriately route clinical questions.
• Provide coverage across multiple specialties and clinic areas based on staffing needs.
• Adapt to different providers, workflows, specialties, and patient populations.
• Help maintain efficient clinic flow and support the team wherever needed.
• Communicate effectively with providers, nurses, Medical Assistants, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA, infection-control, and patient-safety standards.
• Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• CMA/RMA certification preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Previous Medical Assistant or healthcare experience preferred.
• Multispecialty or ambulatory care experience is a plus.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a collaborative team.
