Overview

Position Title: DevSecOps (DSO) Engineer

Location: Aberdeen, MD

Reports To: Deputy Program Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI (able to process, US citizenship is a must)

Summary:

LufCo is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a program in Aberdeen, MD. The DevSecOps Engineer will design, secure, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, development environments, infrastructure, and containerized platforms while supporting DoD security and ATO requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and development environments.
• Collaborate with Development, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Testing, and Operations teams to improve delivery processes.
• Support DoD security requirements, RMF, and ATO activities through automation and secure technical controls.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and automated deployments.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and automation scripts.
• Build and secure Linux and Windows system images for DoD environments.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Podman, or similar technologies.
• Integrate automated testing and security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support system hardening, patching, configuration, and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot pipeline, infrastructure, application, networking, and container issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, configuration baselines, and deployment procedures.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience is nice to have.

Experience:

• 6+ years of relevant technical experience of which 4+ years of DevSecOps and/or CI/CD experience.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments.
• DoD environment experience preferred.

Skills:

• CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
• Ansible and automation technologies.
• Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Podman, or similar container platforms.
• Linux, preferably RHEL or RHEL-compatible distributions.
• Windows systems administration and group policy.
• Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Git and version-control practices.
• AWS and cloud architecture.
• Linux and Windows security hardening.
• DoD RMF and ATO processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel approximately 10–25% to customer locations, including Aberdeen Proving Ground.
• Standard office environment with occasional client-site, lab, or field work.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive Pay: Annual salary ranges from $135,000 to $175,000. Salaries depend on labor category, years of experience, education, skills relevant to the position, and type of contract.
