As the Manager, Engineering for Onboard Applications -remote control or safety, you will build, develop, and lead high-performing engineering teams delivering customer value through product development, sustainment, modernization, and continuous improvement. Working closely with global engineering teams, you will drive business outcomes, strengthen organizational capability, and promote engineering excellence while leveraging deep domain expertise to guide product direction, support next-generation onboard application initiatives, and accelerate adoption of modern and AI-enabled engineering practices.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

• Build, coach, and develop high-performing engineering teams, with emphasis on employee engagement, career development, performance management, and succession planning.

• Create an accountable, inclusive, and collaborative culture that enables employees to grow and deliver business outcomes.

• Drive end-to-end program execution by managing resources, schedules, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment across global engineering teams.

• Apply strong product and customer domain knowledge to guide priorities, decisions, and next-generation onboard application initiatives.

• Champion modern engineering practices, automation, quality engineering, and DevOps to improve delivery effectiveness.

• Lead adoption of AI-enabled engineering tools and practices to improve productivity, quality, and development velocity.

• Drive change management that helps teams adopt new technologies, processes, and ways of working while sustaining engagement and delivery.

• Drive innovation and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process, product, and technology improvements that enhance business value and customer outcomes.

• Collaborate with global product, architecture, quality, and engineering stakeholders to achieve customer and business objectives.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Communicating for Impact: Ability to communicate directly, build alignment, and influence stakeholders across product and engineering organizations.

• Technical Acumen: Demonstrated technical depth to guide engineering decisions and partner effectively with architects and technical leaders.

What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):

• Experience in supporting automotive, machine applications, autonomy, or industrial software solutions.

• Demonstrated success driving organizational transformation, engineering excellence, innovation, and AI-enabled productivity improvements.

• Extensive expertise gained through ownership of complex software products and solutions.

• Experience leading geographically distributed software and systems engineering teams.
