THE OPPORTUNITY

The Babson College Private Equity Committee (PEC) serves as a sub-committee of the Babson College Endowment and is responsible for selecting and managing the Endowment's investments in private equity and venture capital funds. Since its inception in 2010, the PEC has committed over $290M to eighteen PE & VC firms and over eighty individual fund vehicles. The PEC is comprised of alumni, faculty, and full-time staff, and is supported by a select group of student analysts. The PEC is seeking two to three undergraduate candidates to serve as analysts working part-time during their remaining years of full-time study. The undergraduate analysts will work with the existing student analysts, reporting directly to the Senior Investment Associate and having weekly contact with the Investment Director.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Regularly update and maintain portfolio company-level internal data to support all PE analytical reports.

Participate in the weekly PEC Analyst Team meeting, including presentation and discussion of portfolio investment managers and market research.

Prepare portfolio analysis for the bi-annual detailed reporting package on aggregate and individual fund performance.

Attend the PEC's monthly update calls and support preparation of the presentation and cash flow materials.

Analysts who demonstrate strong performance may earn the opportunity to support live due diligence on prospective investments, including investment memos, performance and portfolio analyses, and reference checks.

Assist with special reports, research, and other ad-hoc opportunities, as necessary.

Assume additional responsibilities as required.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED

Current Babson College student in the Class of 2028 or 2029.

Demonstrated interest in private equity and venture capital markets and a genuine passion for learning across investment strategies. Direct PE or VC experience is not required.

Basic Excel skills required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Impeccable attention to detail and follow-through.

Strong work ethic, team player, and highest ethical standards.

Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Google Drive/Docs and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Calendar).

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK

Hybrid, Boston/Wellesley. This is a part-time student employee position requiring approximately 30-40 hours per month, beginning Fall 2026 and continuing during the analyst's remaining years of full-time study. The role includes a weekly PEC Analyst Team meeting and the PEC's monthly update calls.
