Scope of Position
This highly motivated, detail-driven individual, as part of the production planning department, will be responsible for the scheduling and maintenance of production cell demand and manufacturing job management. This role will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and inventory control related activities for Watts manufactured and assembled products
This position reports to the Production Planning Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in Fort Worth, TX.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop understanding of forecast projections, incoming demand, and work scopes as related to a production planning with a time-phased build schedule.
- Manage daily production capacity planning in standard complexity manufacturing work centers
- Support the S&OP process to provide feedback on production performance and capacity
- Take action from established metrics to improve planning performance and drive efficiency and utilization
- Partner in initiatives with continuous improvement teams
- Support New Product Development tasks as assigned
- Maintain accuracy of planning and inventory data in ERP system
- Routinely interact with internal production team and develop understanding of wider Watts operational teams and their responsibilities
- Collaborate with planning team in the scheduling of sales orders and align production jobs to support operational efficiency
- Develop productive relationships with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and Sales to ensure priorities are set and aligned to meet customer on-time deliveries
- Partner with Supervisor to prioritize and manage orders (maintain current and past due orders)
- Collaborate with Supervisor to determine lead times for manufactured items
- Completion of supervised and guided projects and duties as assigned by Production Planning Supervisor or Watts management.
- Travel Requirements: <10%
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, in absence of degree, may consider relevant work experience
- 1-year minimum experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production Planning, or Supply Chain Planning, and relevant software applications
- Self-driven, strong problem-solving abilities, project and time management skills, fast learner, organized, creative, team worker, good communications and meeting facilitation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all functions
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering or business-related focus
- Experience in a manufacturing site

Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Fort Worth, TX location (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
