We have an exciting opportunity for a Director to join our Global Accounting team. Working as part of a collaborative and multi jurisdictional team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high quality accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients. Alongside overseeing complex accounting and financial reporting matters, you'll support the growth and development of colleagues through coaching and leadership, whilst contributing to business development initiatives and strengthening client relationships.

About the role
In this role, you will:
Lead, manage and develop team members, ensuring work is planned, prioritised and delivered to agreed deadlines and service standards
Review and oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, management accounts and other client reporting, including complex accounting matters
Build and maintain relationships with clients, auditors and third party service providers, including supporting the onboarding of new clients
Collaborate with colleagues across jurisdictions to provide accounting guidance, resolve queries and deliver a consistent client experience
Monitor accounting records and reporting deadlines, ensuring records are maintained accurately and regulatory obligations are met
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying efficiencies and promoting effective use of technology and accounting systems
Deliver internal training and coaching to support the development of colleagues and build technical capability across the business
Identify and support business development opportunities with existing and prospective clients
Present financial information clearly and effectively to client boards, investors and other stakeholders
Assess and manage risks to both clients and the firm, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
About you – essential requirements
This role requires:
Qualified ACA, ACCA or qualified by relevant experience, with in depth technical knowledge and practical application of UK GAAP and IFRS
Proven experience leading and developing teams, including coaching, delegation and performance management
Demonstrable experience managing complex accounting engagements and maintaining strong client relationships
Analytical and problem solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to make sound commercial decisions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting matters clearly to technical and non technical audiences
Organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
