Job Summary:
St. Joseph Healthcare, a proud member of Covenant Health, is seeking a Board-Certified Wound Management / Hyperbaric Medicine Physician to join our team in Bangor, Maine. This is a unique, consultative specialty practice that combines medical and surgical expertise to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex wounds.
The position includes a Medical Director component, making a minimum of three years of experience preferred.
Position Highlights
- Monday-Friday schedule with no call or overnight requirements

- Approximately 35-40 combined patients per day, including 0-6 hyperbaric patients
- Typical hours of 8:00 AM-3:00 PM and/or 10:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Hospital-based practice with immediate access to ED, laboratory, imaging, and surgical services
- Experienced and collaborative nursing team with 245 years of combined experience
- Dedicated Clinical Nurse Manager, Operations Manager, and Patient Service Representatives
Qualifications
- Board certification in an appropriate specialty
- Wound care and debridement experience
- Strong procedural/surgical skills
- Dermatologic knowledge helpful
- 40-hour Hyperbaric Medicine training program required
- Minimum three years of experience preferred for the Medical Director role
